Scope of works for quotes

For small builders and trades pricing a jobOn the pricing visit, photograph each area and say the work needed. Send the client a numbered scope of works with your quote, so everyone agrees what is included.

  1. Room by roomType the room once. Everything after it goes under that room.
  2. PhotoPhotograph the area as it is now: what is to be repaired, altered or replaced.

Questions

What is a scope of works?

A list of the work included in a job, item by item. Sent with a quote, it shows the client exactly what is priced, so there is no argument later over what was agreed.

Can I add my prices?

Make the Word file and add a price to each item, or attach the PDF scope to your own quote.

Will the client understand it?

Each item has a photo of the area and the work in plain words, grouped by room.

Can I add more than one photo to an item?

Yes, up to four: a close-up and a wide shot, for example. You can draw arrows, circles or free-hand marks on each one.

Do I have to speak the notes?

No. Speaking is quicker, but you can type any note, and edit every note before you make the report.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Photos and notes are saved on your phone as you go, so a basement, loft or new build with no signal is not a problem.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Seento is being tested on both, and will be released as an app.

Can I put my own logo on the report?

The paid version will replace the Seento mark with your own logo. During testing, ask us at [email protected].
